I haven't really talked about holiday themed prompts here but that's not because I dislike them in any way, I just haven't got any ideas for them! I'll adore whatever you create! I hope you have a lot of fun creating!!

AOS
Absolutely fascinated by this pairing, as always. Trying to write out anything for this has me writing too long paragraphs for this short letter aha. Jim witnesses an entirely alternate version of his own life where, amongst other things, Spock - this Spock, specifically - was his person, regardless of whether it was romantic or not between them. I think there’s a very specific intersection of neediness, isolation and Jim’s issues with older men that’d make it quite easy for him to yearn for Spock Prime.
I don’t think Spock Prime would use Jim as a substitute for Jim Prime - the core of them might be the same, but they’re still very different men. Spock Prime’s definitely able to see the difference and differentiate the two, and perfectly able to love Jim for Jim! However, I think that Jim would think that and maybe it eats him up inside but it’s fine, because he’s been in the shadow of a dead man his entire life, what’s one more?
That said, a fic where both parts of Jim/Spock Prime are using each other as a stand in would be horrific (approving.) Knowing you’re a stand in for your alternate reality self, clinging to it because it’s all you can have; developing feelings for the person you’re with which is worse, because you know they’re still seeing past you to the person they really want.
Two exceptionally broken men doing their best to put each other back together again is always a banging dynamic, and both Jim and Bones in AOS are so fucked up. But! They grow together! A found family that changes them both irrevocably. For me, Jim/Bones is a more pivotal AOS ship than Spirk! I have a powerpoint about this XD Anything with them makes me live, tbh! Academy era fic? AU where single (...or not so single *eyes emoji*) dad Bones gets a hot new babysitter? Some sort of Tarsus IV au?? Or, to fit the exchange theme, perhaps holidays shared in their dorm room?
OT3~ shove them into every trope imaginable! Getting separated from the ship/the landing party shenanigans? Feral Spock is always a winner. Space sex pollen sparks Spock's Time and they're very, very far from help! A group exploration of Spock’s non-human biology? A diplomatic mission has gone SO off the rails; triad marriages are very highly respected!! Sometimes you're stuck on a ship for months on end and the sexual tension is so bad that you get locked in a cupboard together. They're all undercover together! They're stranded! There's only one bed (but it's huge!). They're just having a fun day exploring a new planet. They're having a fucking horrible day but at least they have each other.
AOS - full trash
Honestly I don’t have too many ideas for either of these! All i got is (｀✧ω✧´ ) fuck! them! up! I’m looking for pure trash! Of course, if you want to do something nicer than these prompts, please feel free!! The world is your oyster! If you want pure holiday fluff, I will happily read about Khan and Spock blending their holiday traditions, or Pike learning Romulan to surprise his partner!
Spock really beat the hell out of Khan, huh *eyes emoji*. He should do more of that, especially if Jim dies permanently. Time travel shenanigans? Spock subverts Khan’s rule/beats the shit out of him? Spock kept as a favoured pet (that bites)?
What else did Nero to do Pike before he resorted to that bug? Nero wins and keeps Pike as a trophy?

I love M’Benga so much! His (pre SNW, which i haven’t seen) backstory is so cool! He and Bones must spend so much time together! I’d love to see something from the early years of their journey, when they’re learning to co-exist in the same space as doctors and discovering how much they enjoy each other’s company.
Would love to see their friendship develop! Chatting about Vulcan; something with M’Benga being Spock’s primary physician; bitching over the way the replicators can never get certain recipes right. Just!! Having a fun time together!
Bones constantly snipes at Spock on the basis of his species and like? First, that's fucked up! Second, Spock should teach him some manners. I really like the way their dynamic shifts and solidifies over the course of the series, as well. The aftermath of Bones carrying Spock’s katra! Maybe Bones discovers it’s lonely in his head, now. Maybe Spock yearns for the feel of McCoy’s mind sliding against his own.

I am absolutely unhinged over the Mirror-verse. Completely and utterly.
Leonard "Bones" McCoy/Mirror Spock
What must M!Spock think of these people? Especially McCoy, who helped him - saved him, healed him - with no thought to personal gain. No ulterior motives, no sadism. McCoy stayed with him even when it meant he might miss the window to return to his own universe. How would that affect Spock, that knowledge? What would he do, if Bones was forced to stay behind, due to that? Because he selflessly helped Spock?

Putting these together because my thoughts about it are just a huge ball of twine, tangled up aha!
I love the thought that, some time after Mirror Spock’s interaction with the TOS group, a similar experience happens to the AOS crew. Especially if Jim recognises that these are the Mirror counterparts to Spock Prime’s reality, rather than his own - though how that would work, I’ve no idea. How does AOS Jim react to M!Spock? He can be a fairly different character from Jim Prime, after all. What does he think of the added layer of brutality (or perhaps, just the loosening of restraint) that M!Spock has; is he intrigued? Fascinated?
Is it an entire landing party that gets dropped into Mirror-verse, or just Jim? Does he have any clue what’s going on, from Spock Prime’s memories? Or is he flying completely blind? Does M!Spock know that this is another alternate reality Jim Kirk? Has M!Spock started to undermine the Empire, yet? Does he try and convince Jim to help him? What are M!Spock’s thoughts on AOS vs TOS Jim?
