I think they could be so good together!! They could compliment each other very well and they both deserve the love and attention. Maybe Shikamaru puts his genius to use in securing himself a boyfriend! Maybe Naruto crashes on too many cloud watching sessions to be subtle.
The angst possibility for this is amazing. Even discounting Izuna and whether he lives or dies, I do love the idea of Tobirama labouring under the (mistaken) opinion that Madara's in love with Hashirama and is settling for the brother who's available.
Enemies to still enemies but they definitely fuck on the side; enemies to enemies who have to play nice for internal village relations and all that tension's gotta snap at some point! Dealing with the intimacy that comes from knowing so much about another person; realising that you could have had something, maybe, in a life so far removed from this one that it's not worth thinking about. The constant knowledge that the next time you meet might be on the battlefield once more. That, eventually, one of you will kill the other.

Maybe they get too close, despite being enemies - I believe Tobirama could definitely kill his lover for the sake of his clan but... would he hesitate? Izuna's good enough that even the slightest hesitation is a chance, too him. Or perhaps Tobirama does pull his blow, drops his sword, whatever. Izuna kills (or gravely injures) his own lover and the fallout from that.
I keep seeing these two pairings during exchanges and I am now so curious. Do you have any thoughts on this, lovely author? If so, here's your chance to go absolutely buck fucking wild. No thoughts, head empty, completely willing to receive whatever you're willing to give.

The original Shen Qingqiu really just needed someone who would stand in his corner absolutely, without hesitation, (without acting like Yue Qingyuan did). As we can see from SVSSS, Liu Qingge can absolutely be that person!! Could they make each other worse? Probably, yeah. But more importantly - I think they could make each other happy.

I would love to know more about how twisted up Cassis has become due to his captivity, how it alters his view of the world, his view of people; his thought process during captivity. Delve as deep as you want into the fucked up nature of their relationship. An extended captivity, perhaps? Roxanna having to do more in order to sell the image of using Cassis as a sex object? And their reunion! Delightful. I haven't finished canon but don't care about spoilers, so honestly go for your life.

They're so fucked up and I love it. The mutual manipulation, the hatred, the obsession. They're so equally twisted up about each other and we love to see it. They could (and are) making each other so much worse just by being in proximity to each other. Amazing. I am also delighted by the idea of Dion's mother trying to matchmake them. I just think it could be extremely hilarious. Also, Jeremy's reaction to realising Dion might get to marry Roxanna. Fake relationship for the purpose of family politics? They kill their father together as a bonding exercise!
