I have no specific art DNW's, all art styles and ratings are welcome. 'Odd' or experimental styles welcomed. Visibly trans characters very much welcomed. The similarities that only highlight their differences. A struggle for dominance, for trust; is this who Ichigo has always been, deep down? Is it himself that he fears, his own bloodlust? Swords dancing, clashing, blood stained skin and shattered glass. Loyalty that feels like an unsheathed blade.

Hollow Ichigo | Zangetsu

The colour palette. Eyes yellow on black and unrelenting. Manic grin and a never ending drive for more - more fights, more power, more trust from the one being who’s supposed to give his all but instead trusts another; trusts that Quincy bastard instead and how could you not foam at the mouth because of it? Zangetsu as a blade; the singular cleaver, for who they were at the start. The twin blades, after everything; individual but still paired. Still together.

I gotta admit, it's the absolutely batshit off the wall feral energy of these two combined which really gets me. The contrasting colour palettes! Sharp teeth, brutal violence and the pure adrenaline of a well matched fight. Body horror! Love body horror from inhuman/non-human character!!!

Hirako Shinji/Kurosaki Ichigo

Shinji's grin, the building trust between them, their hollow forms. The empty spaces of a warehouse where there's nothing to do but hang around with each other.

Count D/Leon Orcot

Thinking about these two turns me into a pit of batshit off the wall feral energy. Leon in D's parlour, the two of them out on an adventure somewhere, so in sync but so painfully opposed at the same time. Afternoon tea and amusement and the distance that neither of them ever manage to bridge.

Place: Count D's Pet Shop

I love the aesthetics of the shop. The luxury of the front room, the chaise, how lush everything looks. The maze that is the back of the shop, the unknown waiting behind every door. The incense hanging heavy in the air, D's mysterious smile, the animals that lurk in both the shadows and the light, always watching.

Badd | Metal Bat/Garou

The same vibe as Ichigo/Grimmjow tbh. The bat!! (...the bat covered in blood *eye emojis*) Quiet moments after a fight that has drawn to a stalemate, bloodied and bruised and existing in an almost companionable liminal space.

Garou/Saitama

I literally do not know. Sorry, haha. I just love them for no explicable reason.

Garou/Satoru | Mumen Rider

It's the strength difference. Hero Hunter vs possibly the best Hero in the entire association. Apologies and redemption, working to be a better person. Doubled up on Mumen's bike!! Low key team ups which are unofficial but constant.

Saitama/Sonic

Sonic's smile! Flexibility vs strength. He's literally a ninja! Saitama would probably be into that, given he likes manga so much? Sonic perched on Saitama's shoulders like a fucking cat.

The angst potential! The different peak's colour palettes, time spent amongst bamboo, unbinding hair as a show of intimacy and trust. Wondering if it's you he loves or the shadow of another person he sees in you.

Liǔ Qīnggē/Shěn Yuán | Shěn Qīngqiū

Travel companions! SQQ with a notebook for sketches, LQG doing the fighting. LQG killing a beast too soon and having to awkwardly pose the thing for SQQ's viewing pleasure. More shenanigans - what actually happened in the succubus den? Kissing LQG's mole.

Luò Bīnghé & Original Luò Bīnghé

Into the looking glass, darkly, and all that. Things that you could have been, if everything went right/wrong. The blurring line between hatred of the other and hatred of the self. Two very hot, very jacked men standing next to each other lmao.

Literally anything. These two fuckers are too cute. Maybe they're gaming and Wei Yanzi is getting really into it and Gu Yiliang is. Concerned. Maybe they're just on a date or holding hands. Gu Yiliang chain smoking over how cute Wei Yanzi is.

Achilles/Patroclus/Zagreus

Reunions, families you have made with your own two, bloodied hands, stolen kisses. Long hair spilled across a pillow, colours mixing. The quiet contentment of Elysium shared with those who love you. Healing and laughter and fishing.

Patroclus/Zagreus

The lush, ethereal feel of Elysium; the mist, the river scent, the lush grass, the endless monotony broken by a bright flash of fire and red. Sitting together, the blood dripping from Zagreus's battered form lingering long after the god has gone. The vibrancy of touch after so long alone; how easy it is to slip such a short chiton further up strong legs. Would you worship a god, if he worshipped you in return?

I don't know?? Quick kisses? Quick stolen kisses? Falling in love with someone who talks to you when they can never hear anything you say in return. Longing. Ordering a truly ridiculous amount of things online because the delivery man makes your knees weak. Constant no strings attached affection from a man you've never laid eyes on; what would his voice sound like, his laughter?

Playful bickering, the white of Ye Baiyi's clothes against the colours of Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu's. Figuring out how to navigate going from a couple and their sometimes fuck buddy to a poly relationship. Drinking and eating and making merry. Zhou Zishu is going to simply Not Pay one of these days and then everyone'll be in trouble.

It's the found family that kills me. Family dinners, picnics in the sun, getting into mischief together. Warm summer days, flowers blooming and amicable bickering and feeling like nothing will ever change. Travelling together, late nights around a camp fire, shadow puppets against the wall of an inn.

Training and quiet advice and carrying an exhausted child to bed. An affectionate hand pressed against a shoulder, a hand scruffing through hair. Trust and loyalty and following this weird old dude to the end of the earth because that's your dad now!

We love and respect out immortal king Han Ying, who loves and respects his king Zhou Zishu. It's about the unending loyalty! Quiet contemplation; something that might be love if you held it up to the light just right. The easy confidence in having a right hand and trusting him. WInter colours, severe clothes, tender friendship.

Idk dude, I just think they're neat! ??? Sometimes you carry your drunk friend home after he passes out at the bar and so you paid his tab for him, only to find out he could have definitely walked himself home and dropping him into the nearby river suddenly sounds like a great idea.
